How does it work?
We do this by creating small canals and controlled trauma to the skin using sterile micro needles that penetrate the epidermis and dermis, causing a wound healing response.
Needle depth all depends on the skin condition being targeted and area of the face.
Your natural collagen is stimulated to shed the very top layer of skin that had the pigmentation scarring and replacing it with newly formed skin cells to create a super healthy, even tone.
Duration: 1 hour 30-45 minutes
Pre care:
- Because Microneedling is a non-surgical procedure, there is very little in the way of preparation required.
- It is advised not to drink alcohol before or after treatment.
- Don’t use any aggressive products for a few days before treatment i.e. AHA’s, lasers, or acid peels as these could cause irritation.
- No recent Botox or filler.
Post care:
- Washing your face immediately after a facial will strip away its benefits.
- Don’t take long showers or hot baths for 24 hours after treatment
- Do not wash your face at least for a day particularly with harsh cleansers because they contain chemicals that may only cause irritation and redness.
- Do not visit steam rooms or swimming pools.
- Do not Wax, Shave or have Laser Hair Removal.
- Do not use At-Home Peels or Retinol.
- Do not use any aggressive treatments for up to 72 hours after treatments
- Do not sunbathe unless applying SPF50 regularly.
- Refrain from picking at your skin or touching your face as this can cause breakouts.
- Massage the area treated for up to 72 hours after treatment
